Chaidh Clas 7 a-mach dhan ghàrradh airson Matamataig air Latha Ionnsachadh A-Muigh.
Dh’ionnsaich sinn ciamar a nì sinn tuairmse agus meudachadh. Thagh sinn rudeigin bhon raon-cluiche agus rinn sinn tuairmse air dè an fhaid a bh’ ann is an uairsin thomhais sinn iad. Fhuair an sgioba againne trì tuairmsean ceart!
Bha tòrr spòrs againn.
Le Findlay, Oisin, Eilidh, Varian agus Mata
Tha C7 air a bhith a’ coimhead air diofar seòrsaichean obair a bhios daoine a’ taghadh nan cùrsa beatha.
Bha sinn air leth fortanach gun d’ thàinig Deidre Brock MP a-steach a chèilidh oirnn an-diugh. Dh’innis i dhuinn mun obair a bhitheas i a’ deanamh ann an Lunnainn is dè na sgilean a dh’fheumas tu airson a bhith an sàs ann am poileataigs.
We have been learning how to design and make our own dream catchers. It was a sunny day so we went to the park and collected sticks to start making them. We put the sticks in a criss cross and wrapped the string around them. Then we added the last stick to make a triangle. Then we got some wool and we started to weave the wool around the sticks. This was very tricky! One of us thought ‘it was hard but it was worth it!’
At the end we attached string with feathers and beads to make it look nice. Even though it was tricky, there was a technique to everything and once you knew the technique it was easier.
We were pleased that we finished them just in time for the school fair!
Bha sinn ag ionnsachadh ciamar a chleachdas sinn litrichean magnaiteach airson seantansan a dhèanamh.
Bha feadhainn againn a’ cur tòrr faclan cumanta còmhla agus gan seòrsachadh ann am buidheannan beaga.
Dh’ionnsaich sinn mu dheidhinn diofar cheisteachain agus chruinnich sinn fiosrachadh sònraichte. Chuir sinn am fiosrachadh a fhuair sinn air clàrcolbh agus chleachd sinn slat-tomhais airson taisbeanadh snog a shealltainn.
Bha na Lochlannaich a’ cleachdadh sgiathan. Rinn sinn sgiath ann am buidheannan. Bha hoola hoop againn, dhealbh sinn timcheall air agus chuir sinn pàtran air agus cearcall sa mheadhan.
Bha Clas 3N agus Clas 3T air leth fortnach madainn an-diugh. Thàinig muinntir ‘Generation Science’ air chèilidh oirnn airson ‘Bricks and Blocks’ a shealltainn dhuinn. Bha sinn ag ionnsachadh a bhith a’ còdadh le lego agus le laptop.
Bha sinn a’ toirt air robot lego a bhith na ‘ghòlaidh’. Dh’obraich sinn ann am pàidhir airson toirt air ròbot a bhith a’ faighinn greim air ball. B’ fheudar dhuinn stiùireadh an ròbot a chur anns an ordan cheart. Nuair a chuir sinn an stiùireadh dhan òrdan cheart, ghluais an ròbot gu ceart.
’S e madainn sònraichte math a bha againn agus chì sibh dealbhna gu h-ìosal a sheallas dhuibh na bha sinn ris.
Tha sinn uile a’ coimhead air adhart ri Fèill Sàmhraidh na sgoile feasgar an-diugh. Tha latha grianach ann air a shon!
Mar a gheall sinn dhuibh an t-seachdain sa chaidh – seo dealbhan den fighe a chruthaich sinn ann an ealain. Nach iad a tha math!
We have started a new topic in art. We are drawing Betta fish and we are using oil pastels to colour them. We were practising blending the pastels to make different shades. We chose a picture of a fish and we were trying to copy the different colours to make ours look realistic. The main thing we are learning about in this topic is colour.
We also learned facts about the Betta fish. They can breath out of water for long periods, they are very territorial so they also get called Fighting Fish and they are known for their bright colours. They are very intelligent fish. The male fish look after the eggs until they hatch and they are very protective of the eggs.
In maths, we were learning about fractions. We enjoyed learning a song that helped us to see where to put fractions on a number line. We also learned that different fractions, with different numerators and denominators can be equivalent. This means they are worth the same amount. We learned that in a fraction, the top number is the numerator and the bottom number is the denominator. The denominator tells us how many equal parts and the numerator tells us how many equal parts we have.
We made a giant number line but when we strung it up, it was so big that it snapped 🙁
We have been using mirrors this week to find lines of symmetry. We learned that symmetry is like a mirror image. We tried to draw the other half of a picture to make it symetrical. We also looked for lines of symetry in capital letters.
Over the last two weeks, P5 classes have been exploring and drawing 2D shapes with Tangrams and Pentominos Puzzle.
We learned to draw all those shapes using a ruler and we had fun when assembling them as pieces of a puzzle.
