Bliadhna Mhath Ùr

We have enjoyed our first week back at school!

Interestingly, we started a maths calendar. They are great because they have all different kinds of maths, a different question each day for January! A few people also tried a very challenging maths sheet with Dr Jones,it was a maths newspaper with word problems. This website produce a new newspaper for maths each week: ‘Rigour Maths’.

One of our friends also taught us a very handy way of multiplying large numbers using a grid. Lastly, we practised using the written method for adding and subtracting large numbers.

This week, we found out we are doing a topic about Edinburgh Castle and to start, we did a tricky Gaelic Quiz about the history of Edinburgh Castle. Next week, visitors are coming in to help us to start our project.
