Pròiseact Fàs

Tha sinn air leth toilichte innse dhiubh gun deach neach-ealain Rona NicDhòmhnaill ainmeachadh mar neach-ealain (Artist in Residence) le Imaginate airson pròiseact ùr an ath sheisean aig Taobh na Pàirce. Tha sinn air obrachadh le Imaginate mar tha agus tha a’ chlann an còmhnaidh a’ faighinn tòrr às gu cruthachail agus a thaobh cànan.  Leugh tuilleadh mu dheidhinn an seo.  https://www.imaginate.org.uk/artists/projects/fas

Blog a’ Cheannard: Là Treànaidh is deagh naidheachdan

Chuir sinn crìoch air Dihaoine sa chaidh le cruinneachadh ‘Bilingualism Matters’. Dh’innis Katarzyna Przybycien duinn carson a tha ioma-chànanas cho cudthromach agus dh’fheuch sinn aon de na gnìomhachasan a bhios iad
a’ cleachdadh san obair rannsachaidh aca. Bidh Antonella Sorache a’ leantainn seo le taisbeanadh  phàrantan air Dihaoine 25 Ceitean aig 11m, san talla mhòr.

Many thanks to Katarzyna Przybycien who spoke to all our children about the importance of bilingualism and the reserch that ‘Bilingualism Matters’ is involved in. Parents are invited to a follow-up presentation from Antonella Sorache, professor of Developmental Linguistics at the University of Edinburgh here at Taobh na Pàirce on Fri. 25 May at 11 am. This is just before our Summer Fair and we hope that many of you will come along for both events.

Blog a’ cheannard: Seachdain trang, mar as àbhaist!

Thill  a’ Bh-uas. Nic Ille Ruaidh Diluain; abair deagh naidheachd! An teirm seo bidh i a’ toirt taic dha sgioba na sgoil-àraich le fèin-measadh agus ag obair air  prògram eadar-ghluasaid airson sgoilearan ùra c1.

Mrs Reid returned to work on Monday; what great news! This term she will be supporting the nursery team with self-evaluation, and will be working on the transition programme for our new c1 pupils .

Agus thàinig Ben Mac a’ Phearsain ( B.P. A. Dùn Eideann a Tuath is Lìte) air chèilidh air c3. Bha deasbad aca air plastaig agus ar n-àrainneachd agus dòighean ath-chuartachaidh. An uair sin, chaidh e mun chuairt na sgoile le sgoilearan ‘Guth Sgoileir’.

Ben MacPherson, MSP, met with C3 to discuss environmental issues. He enjoyed seeing round the whole school and meeting lots of his constituents.

Chuir ar tidsearan crìoch air an t-seachdain aig seisean trèanaidh air measadh, còmhla ri co-obraichean bho na sgoiltean eile a tha ceangailte ri Àrd-sgoil Sheumais Ghilleasbuig. Bha e gu math feumail dhuinn.

On Friday afternoon, teachers attended a training session on assessment and moderation with our cluster colleagues. Mrs MacLeod and Miss Brown fed back on the training day they attended with HMIE.

Fàilte dhan làrach-lin ùr againn!

A Charaidean,

Fàilte dhan làrach-lìn ùr againn! Tha min dòchas gum bi an susbaint feumail is inntinneach dhuibh.

Bhithinn gu h-àraidh a’ moladh bhlogaichean nan clasaichean, far an lorg sibh naidheachdan is seallaidhaidhean  ionnsachaidh  air feadh na  sgoil.

A’ gluasad air adhart, bidh sinn a’ beachdachadh air mar a tha sinn a’ cleachdadh na làraich; na rudan a tha ag obrachadh gu math agus ag obair gus taic a chur ri ar n-òigridh agus ar teaghlaichean air-loidhne.  Ma tha beachdan sònraichte sam bith agaibh, feuchaibh gun cuir sibh fios thugainn aig oifis na sgoile.

Welcome to our new website! I hope that the content will be useful and interesting for you.

I would particularly recommend the class blogs, where you will find news and highlights  of learning across the school.

Going forward, we will be reflecting on how our website is progressing and how it can be best used to support our learners and families.  If you have any particular thoughts or suggestions on our website, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the school office.

Le gach deagh dhùrachd,

Anna NicPhàil
