The American High School Theatre Festival have several shows at this year’s Fringe which are aimed at primary school aged children: Seussical Jr., Peter and the Starcatcher and Brollies and Bumbershoots.

St Giles’ Cathedral, on the Royal Mile, will host the second lecture series Exploring Gaelic in its heritage, historical and cultural contexts, with speakers from a range of different subjects including St Columba, Women’s Early Modern Poetry, Gaelic place names and The Wolf of Badenoch. A wonderful chance to hear the sublime voice of Kathleen Macinnes in the beautiful Thomas Morton Hall at Leith Theatre, along with Pàdruig Morrison on accordion, Amy Geddes on fiddle with Donald Knox on Guitar, in addition to Prasgan Choir, Gràisg teenage music group and The Ladybirds (ukelele troup).
Tickets are only £7 or £5 concession (unemployed/child/OAP) and are now available on Eventbrite.
This event is suitable for families but everyone must have a ticket.
Concert kicks off at 7/7.30pm with a bar, teas and a raffle. It will be a wonderful event raising funds for a fantastic charity.

Tech Monkeys is an afterschool club for P4 – P7 which will run for 4 weeks on Thursdays starting 24th May from 4-5pm (with entry to the Zoo until 6pm.) One parent or carer will be offered free entry to the Zoo for the duration of the session whilst their child attends. The total cost for the 4 weeks is £24.
Topics to be covered will include building your own camera trap using a Raspberry Pi, media production and editing, QR trails, VR experiences and much more.

The General Assembly of the Church of Scotland Gaelic Service (at which the new Moderator, Reverend Susan Brown will be present), will be held in Greyfriars Kirk on Sunday 20th of May at 1230. A very warm welcome is extended to all.
