It has been another good week in P1 this week, filled with lots of time outside enjoying the good weather. Next week P1 will be learning the final three sounds of the Gàidhlig aphlebet. They will learn; e, è and h. They will learn how to make this sound, how to write it and what words are associated with it.
Examples of; e (he)
Examples of è; èist (listen)
Unfortunatly h has no sound in Gàidhlig but the class will learn how to form this letter correctly.
Here is a good video link about the single sounds; https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b016vyvh/clips?page=2
The class will also be learning key phrases of stories in order to help them strucutre their own stories. For example, Uair a bh suid (once upon a time), an uairsin (and then), aig an deireach (at the end).
In numeracy the class are learning how to count alternate numbers forwards and backwards, and how to sequence numerals. They will also have an introduction into symmetry (co-chothromachd) and what this means

Have a lovely weekend 😊
